ACME Group News: ACME Group has announced that its subsidiary Green Hydrogen & Ammonia Business has signed a 10-year binding Green Ammonia Purchase Agreement (GAPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

The agreement has been signed for a capacity of 370,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of green ammonia, the company said in a release.

The latest agreement follows the Letters of Award (LOA) received by ACME from SECI in August and September 2025 under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme Mode-2A, Tranche-I, India’s first green hydrogen and ammonia procurement programme.

ACME Group News: Green Ammonia Plant In Odisha

Under the agreement, ACME will establish a green ammonia facility in Odisha, to supply the contracted capacity of Green Ammonia to six (6) major fertilizer facilities spread across five (5) states in both the east and west coasts of India.

SECI, acting as the intermediary aggregator, has executed the corresponding Green Ammonia Sale Agreements (GASA) with leading fertilizer companies, ensuring long-term demand visibility and supply stability, including:

Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) – Kandla Plant, Gujarat: 100,000 TPA

Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) – Paradeep Plant, Odisha: 100,000 TPA

Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) – Paradeep Plant, Odisha: 75,000 TPA

Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) – Goa Plant: 25,000 TPA

India Potash Limited (IPL) – Haldia Plant, West Bengal: 20,000 TPA

Coromandel International Limited (CIL) – Visakhapatnam Plant, Andhra Pradesh: 50,000 TPA

Anil Taparia, Chief Operating Officer of ACME Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Business, said that the agreement is a part of the government's bold vision to usher in energy security to India’s fertiliser sector.

"This represents a defining step in demonstrating commercial-scale green ammonia production and offtake viability at a competitive cost. It reaffirms our commitment to accelerating India’s journey towards energy independence and net-zero emissions,” he said.
