Delhi Public School (DPS) Sector 45, Gurugram, has hosted Namaste Deutschland 2026. It is an annual event conceptualised and designed by the Goethe Institut, New Delhi, to celebrate the German language and culture, under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society.
The programme brought together students from leading institutions for a dynamic, multi-venue celebration of German language, culture and academic exchange.
The event also commemorated 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Germany.
The event was inaugurated by Philipp Ackermann, German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, in the presence of Marco Schilder, Head of Cultural Department at German Embassy, New Delhi; Devyani Jaipuria, Pro Vice Chairperson, DPS 45; Aditi Misra, Director, DPS 45; Dolly Chanana, Director, DPS Society; and Alexandra Mittler, Director, Language Programmes at Goethe-Institut.
DPS 45 plays a significant role in promoting German language learning and cross-cultural engagement among students. The school actively facilitates impactful programmes, offering structured learning opportunities and enabling students to build strong language proficiency while exploring global pathways.

It also focuses on capacity-building by providing both teachers and students with platforms to enhance their German language skills and participate in enriching, internationally oriented experiences.

The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony and prize distribution, celebrating student participation and excellence.
