Reliance Jio IPO DRHP Filing Date: Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani had in August 2019 announced plans to list Jio, the telecom arm of the company. Again in 2025, at the AG of the RIL, Mukesh Ambani declared that Jio will list very soon, probably in the first half of 2026.

Reliance Jio has also started the IPO process and is believed to file draft papers or DRHP very soon with the capital market regulator SEBI.

Jio Platforms, the holding company for the telecom operator of the group, could file a DRHP in the next few days, said sources, according to reports.

"It (Jio DRHP filing) could happen within days," a source said.

Once Jio's DRHP is filed and approved by SEBI, the decks will be cleared for the listing of the company.

Mukesh Ambani had forayed into India's telecom sector in 2016 and has since then dominated the sector, becoming the largest telecom company in the country.

Akash Ambani, who is the elder son of Mukesh Ambani, took charge of Jio as chairman in 2022. He had assumed the office following Mukesh Ambani's resignation, which was largely a part of his succession planning.

Under the Jio IPO plan, 2.5 per cent of the equity will be offloaded through the OFS (offer for sale) route.

Jio valuation, at the time of listing, will depend on various factors like the market conditions. Reliance Industries is considering a ballpark range of USD  $125 billion.

At this valuation, Jio IPO size may be around USD 3 billion. This will make Jio IPO the biggest in India so far.

The biggest IPO size is currently held by Hyundai Motor India, at USD 2.97 billion (October 2024). Before this, LIC's IPO held a record of USD 2.5 billion (in May 2022).
