Demerger: Pharmaceuticals company Natco Pharma could soon announce a major corporate action. In an exchange filing on Wednesday, Natco Pharma announced the schedule of the next board meeting along with the agenda.
Natco Pharma said that a board meeting is scheduled to take place on March 24, 2026 to consider a proposal to demerge the agrochemicals division into a wholly-owned subsidiary.
The name of the subsidiary will be Natco Crop Health Sciences Limited.
"This is to inform you that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, the 24th day of March 2026 to consider among other things, the Scheme of Arrangement for the demerger of Agrochemicals Division on a going concern basis into its Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Company i.e., Natco Crop Health Sciences Limited," Natco Pharma said in an exchange filing.
Natco Pharma is a Hyderabad-based multinational pharmaceutical company.
Natco Pharma shares on Wednesday closed 1.5 per cent higher at Rs 957.50 on BSE and the company's market capitalisation stood at Rs 17,149.77 crore.
Natco Pharma is a part of the BSE 500 index. The pharma stock has delivered a positive return of nearly 20 per cent in the past one year and remained flat in the two years. The counter has surged nearly 80 per cent in three years.
Earlier in February this year, Natco Pharma had paid an interim dividend of Rs 1.50 on each share to its shareholders.
In the third quarter (Q3FY26), Natco Pharma had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 151 crore, up 14 per cent YoY. Its revenue from operations stood at Rs 647 crore in the quarter.
