Nifty Prediction For Monday By Experts: The Nifty 50 index on Friday (April 10, 2026) resumed its uptrend and rose 275 points to reclaim the 24,000 level. The index opened 105 points higher on the back of strong global cues, and extended gains throughout the session to close near the day’s high. The 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 275.50 points or 1.16 per cent to end at 24,050.60.

On a weekly basis, Nifty snapped a six-week losing streak, posting a sharp gain of 5.89 per cent, its strongest weekly rise in percentage terms since 5 February 2021.

BSE Sensex jumped 918.60 points or 1.20 per cent to settle at 77,550.25.

Asian Paints, Eicher Motors, and Bajaj Auto ended as top gainers from the Nifty pack, while Coal India, Sun Pharma, and Infosys buckled under selling pressure to end as top losers. All sectoral indices ended with gains except Nifty IT, with Auto, Realty and Financial Services ended with the biggest gains.

Sectorally, the rally was led by auto and financial stocks, while IT stocks saw some profit booking following the TCS results. Broader markets continued to outperform, with midcap and smallcap indices gaining around 1.5 per cent, reflecting sustained positive market breadth.

Ajit Mishra – SVP, Research, Religare Broking, said that Nifty is witnessing a steady recovery and indications favor a gradual rise towards the 24,300–24,700 zone. A further cool-off in the volatility index, India VIX, which is now at 19, is adding to market comfort.

"Traders should maintain a positive yet cautious stance until the Nifty decisively holds above the key level of 23,500 i.e. 200 DEMA," the expert said.

Nilesh Jain, Head – Technical and Derivatives Research Analyst (Equity Research), Centrum Broking, said that Nifty has given a closing above the psychological 24,000 mark.

The broader market structure remains positive, and a further short-covering rally could push the index towards the 24,300–24,500 zone in the near term, the expert said.

Nifty has immediate support placed at 23,800, the expert added.

"With a breakout above the swing high resistance of 24,025, Nifty now appears to be targeting the 50-DEMA near 24,200, followed by the swing low resistance at 24,571. On the downside, 23,700 has emerged as the new short-term support level, said market expert Nandish Shah (Deputy Vice President, HDFC Securities).

Momentum indicators and oscillators are also signaling strength, as the RSI has moved above the 50 mark.

Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst at LKP Securities, on the daily chart, the RSI is in a bullish crossover and continues to rise, indicating strengthening momentum. In the short term, the trend may remain positive. On the other hand, if no concrete truce deal is reached by the weekend, the market might react negatively.

"Nifty has immediate support at 23,800, below which the index may decline towards lower levels. On the upside, the 24,300–24,350 zone is likely to act as a resistance area," the expert said.
