Stocks to watch tomorrow, March 25: Indian stock market indices Sensex and Nifty 50 closed higher on Tuesday (March 24) on easing oil tensions in the Middle East. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 1,372.06 points or 1.89 per cent to settle at 74,068.45. The 50-share NSE Nifty surged 399.75 points or 1.78 per cent to end at 22,912.40.
Maruti Suzuki invests ₹10,189 cr in Gujarat
Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday said it will invest Rs 10,189 crore to set up 2.5 lakh production capacity in the first phase at its new manufacturing plant in Gujarat. The company said its board has approved the addition of the first phase of capacity of 2.5 lakh vehicles per annum at Khoraj Industrial Estate manufacturing plant in Gujarat, the auto major's fifth manufacturing plant in the country.
Suzlon secures a 100 MW wind energy project from GAIL
Suzlon Group on Tuesday has secured a wind energy project of 100 MW from Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL). Enhancing its strategic focus in the PSU segment, the Suzlon Group, India's leading renewable energy solutions provider, announced its sixth wind energy project of 100 MW from Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL).
KPI Green Energy: capacity reaches 965 MWp
KPI Green Energy on Tuesday said its total energised capacity has reached 965 megawatt peak. In renewables, charging/energisation approval is the regulatory permission granted by grid operators for a renewable energy (RE) project to connect to the main electricity grid, after clearing necessary parameters.
Jindal Steel doubles Angul plant capacity
Jindal Steel on Tuesday said it has doubled the steel making capacity of its Angul facility to 12 million tonnes per annum.
With this expansion, Angul has become one the largest single-location steel plants in India, taking Jindal Steel's overall capacity to 15.6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
Kalpataru Projects secures orders worth Rs 4,439 crores
Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) on Thursday said the company with its subsidiaries, have secured orders worth about Rs 4,439 crores in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business.
These include order of 400kV transmission line and associated substations in Africa: orders for transmission line projects in India and order for substation project in Sweden, a company statement said.
ACME Solar commissions 155 MW battery storage in Rajasthan
ACME Solar Holdings on Tuesday said it has commissioned an additional 155 MW/470.25 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity through its subsidiaries.
With this, the company's total commissioned BESS capacity has reached 297.67 MW/951.74 MWh, out of total planned BESS capacity of 835 MW/3,114.64 MWh across its special purpose vehicles (SPVs), a company statement said.
