DSP Asset Managers has made a key appointment. In a press release shared with The Capital Today, DSP Asset Managers said that it has appointed Anish Tawakley as Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
Anish Tawakley will oversee both equity and fixed income investments, DSP said.
DSP Asset Managers Private Limited is a leading asset management company in India. It acts as the investment manager for DSP Mutual Fund.
Anish Tawakley has joined DSP Asset Managers from ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company. At ICICI AMC, he was Co-Chief Investment Officer - Equities.
Anish Tawakley has over three decades of experience and has worked across market cycles covering equity research, portfolio management, asset allocation and team leadership.
DSP said that Anish Tawakley will work closely with the existing equity and fixed income teams.
"Anish Tawakley's appointment is aimed at bringing greater alignment across asset classes while continuing the fund house’s long-standing focus on disciplined, research-led investing," DSP Mutual Fund said in a statement.
Kalpen Parekh, MD & CEO, DSP Asset Managers, said that Anish Tawakley brings a conservative and rigorous lens to investing. Anish Tawakley believes alpha is earned in down cycles and safeguarding against downside risks first.
"Anish Tawakley's ability to look at macros, equities, fixed income and credit together is important for DSP to deliver consistent results for our investors across market cycles,” he said.
