Real Estate Investment In India: The Middle East war has impacted the investment in real estate projects. According to a report by Vestian, the real estate investment has contracted by as much as 62 per cent in the past three months (January to March).
Real estate investment in India from January to March stood at USD 1.41 billion, the report said.
The investment in real estate projects during October to December of 2025 stood at USD 3.73 billion.
On a YoY basis, the real estate investment, however, showed an increase of 74 per cent. The real estate investment in the January-March period of 2025 stood at USD 0.81 billion, as per the report by Vestian.
Real Estate Investment In India: Commercial
The investment increased amid the strong demand from GCCs. Commercial assets dominated investment activity in the January to March period (Q1 2026), with around 80 per cent of the total share.
However, the investment in commercial projects decreased on a QoQ basis to USD 1.12 billion from USD 2.28 billion (October to December of 2025). Commercial projects include office, retail, co-working, and hospitality assets.
Real Estate Investment In India: Residential
As per Vestian data, residential real estate projects' investments slipped to USD 205.9 billion, down 53 per cent on a QoQ basis and 59 per cent on a YoY basis.
