Masters Union ED Raid: Masters’ Union, a Gurugram-based institution, has come under the ED lens. According to a PTI report, the Enforcement Directorate has raided several premises of the institution linked to Pratham Mittal. Pratham Mittal is an entrepreneur best known as the founder of Masters' Union.

Besides, ED also conducted raids at several locations linked to the Mittal family.

ED raids were conducted as part of its ongoing probe under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, news agency PTI reported.

It is alleged that several irregularities were found in overseas financial transactions connected to educational institutions associated with the Lovely Group, according to ED officials, reported by PTI.

Pratham Mittal had also appeared as a guest judge on Season 5 of Shark Tank India.

ED officials conducted searches at around 10 locations across Gurugram and Jalandhar. The premises covered under the raid included Masters’ Union and the Punjab-based Lovely Professional University. Besides, other entities linked to the group were also raided.

As per officials, the residential premises of Ashok Mittal, AAP's Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab and founder-chancellor of LPU, were raided.

The report said that searches were carried out by ED teams from Jalandhar and Chandigarh.

Two Gurugram-based institutions, Tetr College of Business and Masters’ Union College of Business, were among the raided premises, according to reports.

Pratham Mittal is also the founder of Tetr College of Business.

Ashok Mittal was elected to the Rajya Sabha in April 2022 by AAP. He recently Raghav Chadha as the deputy leader of the AAP in Rajya Sabha.
