D2C Insider has launched ConsumerX Ventures, a Sebi-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), with a target corpus of Rs 150 crore to support early-stage consumer brands.

The fund, billed as India's first operator-led consumer-focused investment platform, will invest in pre-seed and seed-stage digitally native and new-age consumer startups, the company said in a statement.

ConsumerX Ventures has been set up to support startup founders at the most formative stages of their journey, where access to structured institutional support remains limited.

The launch was announced at the D2C Insider Super Angels Annual Day in the City, which saw participation from more than 120 founders, operators and startup ecosystem leaders.

Abhishek Shah, Managing Partner, ConsumerX Ventures, said: "ConsumerX Ventures has been built to address a clear gap in the ecosystem, the lack of dedicated and institutional support for founders of consumer startups at the earliest stages."

ConsumerX Ventures draws on the D2C Insider network of more than 30,000 founders, operators, investors and ecosystem partners to source investment opportunities and support portfolio companies.
